Aurangabad is in the State of Maharashtra, in the west of India, and has a population of almost 1.2 million. The Škoda Auto India Private Limited plant has a total workforce of 1,300 – including around 140 working on the production of Audi models and in related areas (as at: December 31, 2011).
A total of 6,786 units of the Audi A6, Audi A4, Audi Q5 and Audi Q7 models were built at Aurangabad in 2012.
