By 2015, Audi plans to produce about 2,700 Audi A4 and Audi A6 for the Indonesian market. Forecasts predict 15 percent growth in car sales, while sales in the premium segment are expected to grow a full 100 percent over the next five years. Audi is now the fastest-growing premium brand in Indonesia.

Jakarta at a glance
Audi car production in Indonesia began in January 2011. In cooperation with INDOMOBIL/Garuda Mataram Motor, the Audi A4 and Audi A6 are being assembled in SKD (semi knocked down) production at the Jakarta plant. A total of 126 Audi cars came off the production line in 2014.
Production: hallmark high quality
SKD production of Audi cars takes place in an assembly hall at PT National Assembler, an INDOMOBIL subsidiary, together with the VW Golf, Touran, Tiguan, Caravelle and Transporter. Current annual capacity is approximately 2,000 units. To safeguard the planned assembly volume over the next few years, a new assembly hall with an annual capacity of approximately 5,000 vehicles was set up in 2013.
Once assembled, the vehicles undergo quality checks analogous to the checks carried out in the parent plants. Personnel specially trained by Audi sign off the finished cars before handing them over to the dealerships.
