Martorell at a glance

Production of the Audi Q3 started in the first half of 2011. The compact, sporty SUV is built on ultramodern facilities at the SEAT plant in Martorell, Spain. The operations are geared up to an annual capacity of more than 100,000 cars. A total of 112,815 vehicles came off the production line in 2014.

An entirely new body shop and a new assembly line were erected for the Audi Q3. The Audi Q3 production facility in Martorell is therefore among the most modern of its kind. The body shop features 450 of the latest-generation robots.

Production – expanding the manufacturing network

Martorell is the headquarters of the Volkswagen Group brand SEAT. Building the Audi Q3 in Martorell will add a further building block to AUDI AG’s production network and represents part of its growth strategy. The urbane off-roader will be built there with high levels of flexibility to comply with the quality standards set by the Audi Production System.

Audi and SEAT have invested some € 330 million in the facilities and infrastructure. With the brand new body shop and 30,000 square meter (322,917.31 sq ft) assembly hall, the Audi Q3 production facility in Martorell is among the most modern of its kind. The body shop features 450 of the latest-generation robots.
