Emotional forms: the design

Balanced proportions, sporty front and a characteristic shoulder line - the Audi A5 Sportback and the Audi S5 Sportback are truly aesthetic. The waveform of the shoulder line was already an identifying characteristic of the predecessor and has now been reproduced even more prominently. Depending on the features, the radiator grille is designed in discreet, dull black or twilight grey. The tail has clear horizontal and three-dimensional lines.

The driving dynamics

As with the A5 Coupe, the new all-wheel drive quattro with ultra-technology is available for the TFSI engines. The newly developed drive operates predictively and adjusts the torque distribution to the driving style. The permanent all-wheel drive quattro is even used with all S tronic and tiptronic engines.

Sporty and efficient engines

The performance of the TFSI engines, for the A5 Sportback, range from 190 hp to 286 hp. Irrespective of whether it is the seven-speed S tronic or eight-speed tiptronic, in combination with front or quattro permanent all-wheel drive - each engine of the Audi A5 Sportback makes the most of customised technology to put powerful excellence on the road.
... in comparison

Seven years after the conception of the A5 Sportback the new version is ready to launch. It presents sporty proportions with its 4,733 millimetre length, 2,824 millimetre wheelbase, 1,843 millimetre width, and 1,386 millimetre height. The weight has fallen by a total of up to 85 kilograms and is now 1,470 kg excluding driver. The luggage compartment is one of the best in its class: up to 1,300 litres are available to be filled when the rear seat is folded down.

The standard and optional equipment

State of the art: In the fields of connectivity and infotainment the Audi virtual cockpit with TFT screen (12.3 inches), the Bang & Olufsen sound system with 3D sound and the Audi Rear Seat Entertainment option are available. In comparison to the previous model, the standard equipment has also been upgraded for the standard version: among other things, this includes dynamic indicators, the Audi MMI Radio plus with 7-inch colour display, a 3-spoke multi-function leather steering wheel, and the driving dynamics system Audi drive select.

The Audi Matrix LED headlights

The finely drawn headlights harmonise perfectly with the horizontal lines of the front section. The Audi Matrix LED headlights are available for selection as top features. Their new light signature feature is a distinctive and focused twin headlamp principle, which is reminiscent of the original quattro.
