In FSI® technology, the fuel is injected directly into the combustion chamber and atomised into a fine spray. This way, the fuel – metered to almost droplet precision – can be called upon the millisecond that the engine requires it. This means better utilisation of the fuel and ultimately makes reduced consumption possible.
TFSI technology is employed in the Audi Q5. And the remarkable thing about it is it combines the advantages of FSI with a supercharger, which ensures even better power delivery. This combination of the FSI concept and a supercharger not only enables remarkable efficiency and impressive dynamics, but also improves engine power. You will notice it as soon as you accelerate the 2.0 TFSI engine with 165 kW. When combined with the 8-speed tiptronic it takes you from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds. And the 3.0 TFSI 200 kW is even sportier: it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. All TFSI models are equipped with the efficient start-stop system and recuperation as standard.
