The 7-speed S tronic® dual-clutch gearbox not only combines two gearboxes in one, but also sportiness and efficiency. The high level of efficiency and the rapid gear changes deliver even greater driving pleasure.
Shift times are minimised by means of two continuously active gearboxes. This means that gear changes are possible within hundredths of a second. This technology enables you to change gear with virtually no loss of pulling power, which in turn leads to an even sportier and more comfortable driving experience.
Whether the driver selects the fully automatic mode with the D (Drive) or S (Sport) programmes or chooses to change gear manually by means of the optional shift paddles, the gearshift feel is precise and extremely sporty. Sportiness and efficiency don't have to be contradictory factors: the high level of efficiency minimises fuel consumption, thus ensuring reduced emissions.
