TFSI® – supreme power delivery. The petrol engines of the A6.
The Audi TFSI engines represent outstanding efficiency and improved performance while at the same time retaining their dynamism. For example, the 1.8 TFSI 140 kW (190 bhp) in combination with the 6-speed manual gearbox accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. And all TFSI engines of course comply with the EU6 emission standard.
TDI® – efficient and powerful. The diesel engines of the A6.
With their combination of direct injection and turbocharging, Audi TDI engines likewise deliver exceptional performance – thanks to their high torque output over the entire engine speed range with continuous power delivery. What is more, they are renowned for reducing emissions and for their fuel efficiency. Like the 3.0 TDI clean diesel quattro: 235 kW (320 bhp). In the Audi A6, it produces a top speed of 250 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds. All TDI engines comply with the EU6 emission standard.
quattro® – permanent power to all four wheels
The quattro permanent drive system guarantees more driving pleasure – especially on slippery road surfaces. If the wheels of one axle lose grip and threaten to spin, the centre differential redirects the drive torque to the other axle. The result: better acceleration, greater lateral stability, improved traction, enhanced safety and even more driving pleasure.
S tronic® brings a dual saving: time and energy
The 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission combines not only two gearboxes in one, but also sportiness with efficiency. The high level of efficiency and the rapid gear changes deliver even greater driving pleasure.
tiptronic® – so convenient that it even lets you change gear yourself
The tiptronic automatic transmission enables spontaneous gear changes at any time. It combines automatic shift comfort with outstanding handling characteristics. All gearshifts are executed with minimum interruption in the power flow.
Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figures are obtained under standardised test conditions (Directive 93/116/EEC) using a representative model. This allows direct comparison between different models from different manufacturers, but may not represent the actual fuel consumption achieved in 'real world' driving conditions. *Recommended On-The-Road (OTR) retail prices include: delivery charge, half a tank of fuel, number plates, first registration fee at £55.00 and Vehicle Excise Duty.
Recommended On-The-Road (OTR) retail prices shown are based on the current 2017/18 VED rate.
As outlined in the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s 2015 budget, the way Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) is calculated will change from Saturday 1 April 2017 for the majority of vehicles. The first licence will continue to be calculated using the vehicle’s CO2 value, but subsequent licences will be based on a standard rate of £140. Vehicles with a list price exceeding £40,000 (including factory installed options, delivery charge, number plates and VAT) will pay an additional £310 plus the standard annual rate for a 5 year period. After the 5 year period only the standard rate will apply.
