The RS 6 Avant’s 4.0-liter V8 TFSI engine is dynamic, high-torque, and – thanks to cylinder on demand technology – highly efficient. When required, four of the eight cylinders are deactivated, with no perceptible difference except the reduction in fuel consumption. For the RS 6 Avant performance, the engine power has been increased by 33 kW (45 PS) to 445 kW (605 PS). The overboost function offers a temporary torque increase of 50 Nm, up to a maximum of 750 Nm.
